Bryson Tiller Brooklyn Concert reviews
I have loved Manilow for over 30 years but........
We were really LET DOWN, maybe expecting too much for $250 for 2 seats near stage on a Saturday night in Vegas. His face is stretched so tight he looked like he was wearing a plastic Halloween mask, very sad. No one expects him to look like he did in the 70's...who does? There has to be an explanation because his mouth barely moved. We were shocked to see him hold the mike a foot away from his mouth and yet sound so loud...perhaps some lip synching with a lot of synthesizing?? His mouth barely moved.
Very disappointed that he did not perform all of his hits but only a few in their entirety (Mandy and Even Now). No one expects him to look like he did in the 70's...who does? Instead we were punished and heard from his "15 minutes" CD. We even purchased it in the lobby to give it more consideration. Don't bother buying it....it's a bore.
Here's my advice to you: This show is geared for blue hairs...they loved it and the Copa. If you're dead set on seeing an old timer, spend the $$$ and see Rod Stewart....he's UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE at age 67. Just when we thought it could not get any worse, he returned to the stage for an encore....Copa Cabana!
He was very handsome and unique back "in the day". It's too late now but he should have aged gracefully. We were seated stage left and not ONCE did Bryson Tiller move from the center. And to Mr. Manilow's posse? Pack it up and move this show to Branson.
